Making Change Work Program
We respect that organizational leaders are in the best position to
know ‘what’ needs to change for optimum performance. The
Insights Making Change Work approach is to support the development of
knowledge and skills about ‘how’ to maximize employee
engagement during changing times.
This working session alternates between theory bursts, experiential
exercises, and the application of learning to a practical
organizational priority. This is a comprehensive program designed to strengthen how
change agents and internal consultants guide change initiatives. There is an expectation
that participants have a significant organizational priority as their
focus.
Our applied learning process begins with this
2.5 day workshop where theory and best practices are blended with a
specific change initiative from your organization. We also offer
an optional one-on-one reviews of your change plan.

influential communication messages

resistance, and developing strategies that
mitigate risks
Creating a ‘fear-less’ environment for
change
Building trust and trustworthiness
Developing organizational transition
strategies
Strengthening skills in responding to
emotional reactions to change
Increasing resilience
Analyzing the impact of culture, and
planning to shift or reinforce culture
For maximum benefit, we ask participants to come prepared to focus on a current change project
in your workplace.

I have been grappling with all the pieces of change theory that I know
and this brought it all together

CBC Radio interviews Joyce
Gwilliam
The national network of CBC Radio has a
show named The Current. It is hosted by Anna Marie Tremonti and
boasts the largest audience of any current affairs program in Canada.
Listenership is estimated at approximately 1 million listeners.
On Tuesday, December 15, 2009, the show
had a 30 minute report in their continuing series of Work in
Progress. This series, which began in September of 2009,
explores developing trends and changes in how and why we work.
The December 15th report was titled
Sensitivity in the Workplace. It looked at the trend of using
assessments in the workplace and built on an article from the New York
Times. The article, by an employee of a company that uses
Insights Discovery in their workplace, can be seen by
clicking on this link.
We were fortunate that The Current was
interested in speaking with a representative of Insights to delve
further into the story of assessments. I say fortunate because,
although the employee and her company are delighted with the
application of Insights Discovery in their workplace, some language
and misconceptions around Discovery needed to be addressed.
The full report also contained an
interview with an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour from
the University of Toronto. His premise was that assessments are
an important piece of understanding how individuals fit into the
workplace...and that high validity and reliability are critical
components for organizations to consider when selecting assessments.
The condensed interview, featuring the
employee's experience with Discovery and Joyce's full interview is
about 16 minutes in length. You can listen to it by

inspire your participants to greater understanding, and increase your
organizational return on investment.
We have had many requests for soft copies

Testimonial from the last IDA in Vancouver -
It’s hard to believe that two weeks have flown by since we wrapped up
our IDA in Vancouver. Thank you both so much for the professional,
caring manner in which you taught us that week. It was clear that you
both truly care about our success and I was really impressed with the
way you modeled exceptional learning principles – no small task with
an audience of learning experts!! I also truly appreciated the chance
to meet all the other participants; what a great chance to expand
networks and share best practices. I love the way “re-sits” are part
of the week – they add so much value.

Discovery Full
Circle
The
Discovery Full Circle (DFC) Profile and workshops extend the learning
gained from the Insights Discovery Profile, representing a natural
next step on the journey of self-awareness. This process was
introduced to Licensed Practitioners in October, 2006, and to Client
Practitioners in December, 2006.
The
combined impact of the DFC Profile and learning guide enable speedier
and more effective individual and team development and contribute to
an authentic and empowered work environment. We are excited to
support application of this next stage of development.
