One of Canada’s newest financial services institutions offers member credit unions the power and efficiencies of shared IT, HR, Risk Management and other operations, while maintaining their own brand and locally focused service. Through a comprehensive merger, the senior executive team recognized the importance of creating a strong integrated learning environment.
The leaders themselves faced significant challenges requiring them to operate at their high level of performance – while modeling a new way forward for their employees. As a newly formed group with new roles, the team was looking for leading edge development to optimize their growth.
Early this year, Insights for Personal and Team Effectiveness was delivered over a two-day working session. The leaders examined their own preferences and the impact of their styles on the team dynamics. From this platform they went the next step to assess how understanding and valuing different styles could positively impact their business decisions. The session turned self understanding into greater effectiveness as individuals and as team members.
This organization is committed to supporting ongoing learning and a shared language through the suite of Insights learning and development solutions. Plans are in place for applying the Insights methodology to managing the human side of change. As well, an upcoming employee conference will apply individual assessments, team wheels, job aids and practical strategies for shared success. This financial organization has recognized that learning is a process.
