| The Insights model is constructed on the works of Dr Carl G Jung (1875 - 1961) and one of his leading students, Dr Jolande Jacobi. Dr Jacobi progressed Jung's findings on Personality Types, further validating and enhancing his model. It is this version of Jung's concept of the Holistic Self that is represented in the Insights Wheel. The effectiveness of the Insights Discovery evaluator in linking individuals to their correct Jungian type was assessed by Dr Michael Green of the University of Dundee in 1997. Using testing and re-testing of individuals, he found that across the four Insights Colour Energies, the system was more than 95% accurate. Despite this high success rate, the evaluator is tested continuously to improve quality.
Extensive validation of the psychological and business aspects of the Insights System has been and continues to be conducted at a number of Universities. In 1998 Dr Jeffrey Davies completed a PhD on "An investigation into C.G. Jung's Psychological Types as represented by a Progressive Version of his 1925 Typology Wheel - The Development of a Psychometric Evaluator" at the University of Westminster. This proved the scientific nature of the Insights model and the very high statistical reliability and validity inherent in the Insights psychometric instrument.
Several other academic assessments are also underway.
